February 2018 Core Values winner – Sarah Ramos

We would like to congratulate Sarah Ramos for winning the February Core Values Dean’s parking spot award. Sarah was nominated for the award by exemplifying one or more of the Core Values of the College of Education.

Sarah has been an outstanding Program GA for the Counseling Psychology program as well as in the Training clinic where she provides triages, sees individual clients, runs psycho-education groups, and assists in making sure the clinic runs smoothly. In addition, she has served as a CEP 199 student mentor to incoming students and she is active in the Doctoral Student Association and its social committee. Outside of the university, she is active in a church community where she works with the adolescent and college group. She has been informally mentoring several of the high school and college students who are looking into higher education. Sarah has also helped co-lead informal psycho-education workshops at the church such as providing a training on healthy conflict resolution during a church leader retreat. She always demonstrates integrity and leadership.
