Steven A. Sanchez, Ph.D., received his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from NMSU in 2004 after receiving his Master of Science from Pittsburgh State University and his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of New Mexico.
Steven has stayed true to his NMSU roots, devoting his time and talent to the College of Education Board of Advocates for several years. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for Adult Basic Education at the Doña Ana Community College. Over the past year, he has actively collaborated with the College of Business to help establish the Woodrow Wilson MBA Fellowship in Education Leadership Program.
Steven retired from the Las Cruces Public Schools on June 30, 2015 after serving as Deputy Superintendent for eight years. In that position, he actively collaborated with the College of Education to provide professional development options for teachers, and endorsed the district’s participation in a number of funded grants.
