NMSU’s College of Education Distance Education program supports Distance Education programs in Alamogordo, Carlsbad, and Grants. It also offers a totally on-line Licensure Program in Special Education and several hybrid programs (partly online, partly face-to-face).
Certificate and Licensure Programs
NMSU’s off-campus Certificate and Licensure Programs are offered to people who already hold a bachelor’s degree or who are interested in being credentialed to teach in the State of New Mexico. Currently we offer a licensure in the following areas:
- Information Technology Endorsement
- Reading Endorsement Program
- Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning
Off-site Face-to-face Programs
- Master’s Programs
Master’s programs are available for studies with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration, Counseling & Guidance, and Learning Technologies. These programs are composed of a moderated amount of coursework combined with research and field experiences culminating with a written examination over the program of studies. There are on-line doctoral programs available in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction and the Department of Educational Administration.
