Introduction
Your goal is to research the kinds
of experiences that the pioneers had on the trail. You and your group will
have the following tasks to complete for the SFT game board.
-
Select 3 pioneer characters for
the game pieces. Go for a variety of people.
-
Use blue for the Immigrant cards.
-
Create 10-12 cards for each character,
half positive and half negative.
-
Information on the game cards will
be based on your research and will document the real events that happened
to the Immigrants.
-
Here are some examples: One of your
oxen gets sick and you are delayed for two days. Miss a turn. Or,
your family successfully crosses the Arkansas River. Go ahead two spaces.
-
Write down 5 other events to integrate into the SFT game
board.
