
The oceans of the world are all connected. Together they form one world ocean. There is more water than land on earth. Oceans cover almost three-fourths of the planet. In our study we are going to find out what animals live on the ocean floor. I will tell you about certain animals and then you will search through books, the Internet, encyclopedias and other sources to find out more about these watery creatures. Let's go exploring! Even though your Ocean Quest Activity is done with your group, each of you will be expected to create your own Picture Dictionary and Ocean Animal Models. Please See the Grading Chart for details on what each project should have, in order to get a "5". each project.
In our quest through the ocean floor we have discovered many animals but there is still much to learn about the ocean. In our next quest we will study the make-up of this under water world. See (sea) you on the surf!
