Group 2

The consequences of desertification is life threatening because losing the most productive areas of the world leads to a global famine. The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) has classified desertification as one of the most serious global environmental problems. Understanding the severity of the problem pushes us to look for appropriate solutions to the problem.

Suppose that you are a teacher preparing some evidence about the consequences of desertification in order to give a lecture in your class. Check the following sources in order to find the necessary information. You can also find additional resources including newspapers, journals, and TV reports. After collecting enough information, you can create your final project.
