- The Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology recruits applicants for programs nationwide & continues to compete with Big Ten enrollment.
- The Department of Curriculum & Instruction is the largest department in the College. Thier primary function is the preparation of licensed teachers for pre-K, elementary and secondary schools.
- The Department of Educational Management and Development was recently awarded 3 grants that continue to display excellence in working with border issues.
- The Department of Human Performance, Dance and Recreation continues to provide dance students with an exceptional program. The Athletic Training Education program is the only accredited one in the region.
- The Department of Special Education/Communication Disorders is one of the few in the country that offers a K-12 bilingual education program. The Communication Disorders program is directed by the Vice President of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. The department also houses a speech and hearing clinic.
