College of Education Licensure Program in Educational Administration

The College of Education (COE) at New Mexico State University (NMSU) has developed a licensure program in educational administration for persons who hold at least a master's degree, but have not completed a traditional educational administration preparation program. In order to qualify for the Licensure Program in Educational Administration at NMSU, a candidate must have a contract with a district as an administrator.
Prerequisites
- Master's degree in an area of K-12 education.
- New Mexico State Department of Education Level III Teaching License.
- Employment as an administrator with a Substandard (waiver) license.
- Admission to NMSU Graduate School and Educational Management & Development (EMD) Department.
Program
- 24 Graduate credit hours.
- NMSU Distance Education courses.
- Approved by NM State Department of Education and Accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
