College of Education Information Technology Endorsement Program

The College of Education (COE) at New Mexico State University (NMSU) has developed an information technology endorsement program for persons who hold at least a baccalaureate degree, but have not completed a traditional teacher preparation program. In order to qualify for the Information Technology Endorsement Program at NMSU, a candidate must have a contract with a district as a teacher/coordinator in technology.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in an area of K-12 education.
- Employment as a Teacher/Information Technology Coordinator with a Substandard (waiver) license.
- Admission to NMSU Graduate School and Curriculum & Instruction Department.
Program
- 24 Graduate credit hours.
- Online courses.
- Approved by NM State Department of Education and Accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
