STEM Outreach events

Over the month of March, the STEM Outreach Center held 6 professional development events for teachers, totaling over 170 participants. Teachers of our afterschool programs in the Gadsden Independent School District received professional development on the program that they will be facilitating for students this semester. Through the STEM Up Project, staff members from different afterschool programs in Las Cruces, White Sands Missile Range, Truth or Consequences and Roswell were able to learn about enriching their programs with educational, inquiry-based STEM activities.

In addition, over 310 students (Kinder-NMSU Freshman) in the local area had the opportunity to experience and interact with STEM through outreach activities and field trips through our office!
