Dr. Anne Gallegos

Special Education & Communication Disorders

Dr. Anne Gallegos is employed as a Professor of Special Education in the Department of Special Education/Communication Disorders. She has worked in the field of education for over 30 years, having taught high school, directed programs in community-based settings, and instructed at several universities. Dr. Gallegos teaches coursework related to general special education and bilingual/multicultural special education. She has additionally funded nearly 4 million dollars in grants, and has served as the director of numerous personnel preparation projects. Her publications and national presentations have reflected the research and grant work she has done in the areas of bilingual special education, doctoral leadership, and training/mentoring of new teachers.
