Graduate Admission Information for Students interested in the Communication Disorders Graduate Program at New Mexico State University.

NMSU CD Graduate Program Overview

The NMSU Program in Communication Disorders is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The CAA is the only accrediting agency for audiology and speech-language pathology education programs recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.


The following information may be of interest to our current and prospective graduate students:

PROGRAM COMPLETION RATE = 100%~ all students who have entered our graduate program in the past 3 years have successfully completed their graduate degrees at NMSU.

PASS RATE on the NATIONAL EXAM (PRAXIS) = 100% ~ all students who have completed the graduate program in the past 3 years have successfully passed the national exam required for certification in speech-language pathology.

EMPLOYMENT RATE following completion of the Graduate Program at NMSU = 100% ~ all students who have completed our graduate program in the past 3 years have successfully obtained employment in the field.
