Mary Carolyn Knott Endowed Scholarship for Graduate Students in Communication Disorders

Mary Carolyn Knott was a 1970 New Mexico State University graduate in Communication Disorders. She was a well-known and beloved member of the El Paso and Las Cruces professional communities. For over 30 years, she was chief of speech-language pathology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC). She mentored many University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and NMSU students who completed their practicum experiences at WBAMC. Mary remained a vital member of the NMSU community receiving recognition as one of their top 100 graduates. Through the professional successes of the recipients of the scholarship, Mary’s remarkable legacy to the profession will endure for generations to come.
