The College of Education Endowed Scholarship Fund

The College of Education Endowed Scholarship Fund, originally called the Phonathon Fund, began in 1988. Over the years, the amount of the fund has grown to approximately $20,000 through ongoing contributions from annual mailings, phonathon activities, and personal solicitation. The contributions range from $5.00 to $500.00. It is estimated over the years, 4500 alumni have donated to this fund.

The endowment (an interest bearing account) fund of this scholarship awards $800 a year to a student selected by the Scholarship Committee of the College of Education. In addition, the current use account of this scholarship awards ten students approximately $300 each, again selected by the Scholarship Committee of the College of Education.
