WELCOME TO THE PoLO SYSTEM WEBSITE!

If you are looking for a unique way to design collaborative, functional, accountable classroom and/or clinic training programs, you've come to the right site. The PoLO System can also be used to design collaborative, functional, and accountable K- 12 general education and special education classroom content areas, as well as post secondary education and professional training programs such as Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, etc. However, if you're looking for the newest fashions in polo shirts or how to improve your polo swing or water polo spike, this is not the place for you and this would be the time to exit the site and use your surfing time in a more productive way.

If you're still interested (and we hope you are!), here's an introduction to the
PoLO SYSTEM
and an overview of the website.

•  The PoLO System (Profile of Learning Outcomes) was developed for university education/training programs to demonstrate compliance with new professional standards of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

•  The primary focus of the three stages of the PoLO Series

( PoLO-Academic, PoLO-Clinical, and PoLO-Service) is to design academic courses for students and clinical skills development plans for clinicians that develop the evidence-based best practices knowledge and skills necessary to design service plans for clients and primary caregivers.

•  PoLO-A , PoLO-C , and PoLO-S Blueprints document Learning Outcomes, Functional Knowledge and Skills Levels, types of formative support strategies, and descriptive summative assessment data.

•  The purpose of the PoLO System homepage is to provide an overview of different levels of involvement with PoLO . If you are interested in more information about each of the three stages, click on the button below proceed.
