The Borderlands Alliance for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Research serves as an education, research, and professional development collaborative bringing together educators, researchers, and other interested persons committed to creating and maintaining safe and responsive communities for people at various points on the sexual orientation and gender continua.
The Borderlands Alliance is a non-profit organization based in Las Cruces, New Mexico within the College of Education at New Mexico State University.
In spring 2007, NMSU inagurated the Sexual and Gender Diversity Resource Center on its main campus. The center is located in 529 Regents Row and its hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Summer hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
