RETA (Regional Educational Technology Assistance) Through the US Department of Education’s Technology Innovation Challenge Grant, the Regional Educational Technology Assistance program is serving the professional development needs of New Mexico’s K-12 teachers. RETA brings technology curriculum integration to school sites around the state. In its three-year history, RETA has served teachers in nearly all of New Mexico’s 89 school districts. RETA’s mission is to develop the human and technological infrastructure necessary for learning environments that cultivate students who are ready for school and workplace challenges in an information-driven society, able to make thoughtful use of technological tools to access information and to construct meaning, develop new knowledge, and effectively and efficiently communicate understanding.
