NMSU Summer Dance Festival 2005
¡Viva la Danza!
June 23-28, 2005

Come join the NMSU dance program in an exciting week of Hispanic and Latino dance. Guest artists instructing and performing at the Festival will include some of the best of the region and the nation. They will be challenging and stimulating students to reach their fullest potential both physically and mentally. José Tena of Las Cruces will teach Ballet Folklorico, Pablo Rodarte of Albuquerque will instruct Flamenco and Classical Spanish, and Luren Bellucci and Michael Walker will teach Argentine Tango.
On Sunday, June 26, these internationally known dance artists will perform electrifying choreography, full of passion and style.
About the Festival

Classes will include: Ballet Folklorico, Flamenco, Spanish Dance, and Argentine Tango. There will be classes for dance instructors, the beginner and the seasoned dancer, ages 14 - adult. (We will accept younger dancers, with experience, that want to enroll with a letter of recommendation from their dance instructor.) The classes will be divided into two levels, beginning and intermediate/advanced. Enrollment is limited to ensure quality instruction.
Each dance form will cover dance technique and an historical overview of that style. Each instructor will be teaching several specific dances from that particular style. This will provide teaching lessons that dance instructors can take back to their own studios/schools to share with their students.
