The purpose of the Adapted Physical Activity Council is to advocate and

Service for Adapted Physical Activity
This website is an on-line support system for the Center
for Active Learning and Empowerment. The center's vision
is to enable people who perceive inclusion as an opportunity,
rather than as a burden by generating an adaptation database
of physical activities for individuals with disabilities.

The mission of this website is to promote and sponsor sports,

Assessment for Adapted Physical
Education (A-APE)
This website contains an MS Excel workbook containing separate
worksheets for more than 20 of the most commonly used APE
assessment tools. The user merely inputs the raw scores
and test data are automatically calculated creating a statistically
interpreted written report. Results can be sent directly
to a printer or copied and pasted to a word processing program.
Blaze Sports America
The bedrock of Blaze Sports America, are the community-based,
year round programs delivered through local recreation providers.
These grassroots programs offer introduction and instruction
for youth and adults with physical disability in a variety
of adapted sports, such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair
tennis, wheelchair rugby, swimming, and track and field.
Blaze Sports America supports the community providers
with training for community instructors and coaches,
sports training manuals, operations standards, and other direct

Abilities
Camp Abilities is a one week developmental sports camp for
children who are blind, deaf-blind or multi-handicapped.
Counselors are undergraduate and graduate students from
all over the USA in professional preparation programs such
as APE, PE, and SPED.
