2005 Performance Season - Dance Encounters
NMSU Dance Program kicks off the 2005 performance season with Dance Encounters. This contemporary dance performance is a collaboration between the UTEP and NMSU dance programs featuring original choreography by faculty and students. This will be the first time these two programs have joined together to create an evening of dance. Lisa Smith, UTEP dance lecturer, and Debra Knapp, director of NMSU dance program, began coordinating this effort in the spring of 2004. It is a great opportunity for these dance programs to share their choreographic and performance talents.
Performances will be held in Las Cruces at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road, on January 21 & 22 at 7pm and on January 23 at 2:30 pm. The UTEP performances will be held the Shundo Ballroom Dance Studio, 2719 N. Stanton, in El Paso, Texas on January 28 & 28 at 7p.m. and on January 30 at 2pm.
Tickets will be available at the door at $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. The box office opens 1 hour before the show.
Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum is handicapped accessible.
