New Mexico Teachers Attend a Writing Conference
The Borderlands Writing Project's 2003 Annual Summer Invitational Institute at New Mexico State, an affiliate site of the National Writing Project, concluded with a reception Wednesday, June 26, to honor its first cadre of teacher consultants.
More than 80 classroom teachers, resource specialists, department chairs, principals, superintendents and university representatives participated in the institute. At the reception participants shared writing about their experiences and the potential impact for classrooms across the southern New Mexico borderlands.
