Children's Village has a new classroom

The NMSU School for Young Children, located in Myrna’s Children’s Village, has added a new classroom. This classroom houses the Roadrunner Pre K and is part of the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Dept. Pre-K initiative that attempts to provide early education for families with limited or no access to high quality programs. The Roadrunner Pre K class is a half-day class that runs mornings Monday through Thursday. It begins in September and will end in May of 2008.

Placement in the Roadrunner Pre K classroom or on the waiting list requires that potential families have children with birthdates between Sept.1, 2002 and Aug. 31, 2003, documented family residency in the Mesilla Park Elementary, University Hills Elementary or Valley View Elementary (includes NMSU family housing) school boundaries and children who are not already enrolled in a "3, 4 or 5 Star" early childhood program elsewhere.

To join the waiting list, contact 646-1651 and express your interest in the Roadrunner Pre K class.
