Dance Excursions: A Journey Outside the Box

On Saturday and Sunday December 6th and 7th, No Strings Theatre Company and the New Mexico State University Dance Program will present Dance Excursions, a presentation choreographed by dance majors and minors under the direction of Debra Knapp. For some of these student choreographers this is their first choreographic endeavor. These students have created solo and small ensemble pieces. They have been exploring compositional form and analysis, and thus have created works ranging from intensely personal experiences to abstract development of movement themes. Music selections vary from classical to reggae hip-hop.

The Dance Excursions performances are at 2pm and 8pm on Saturday, December 6th and 2pm on Sunday, December 7th at the Black Box Theater located at 430 N. Downtown Mall.
