COE Student Receives Recognition

Congratulations to Danielle M. Mullen, a dual major in elementary and special education. She was recently named as the recipient of an Honorable Mention Award in The Stony Brook Short Fiction Prize sponsored by the State University of New York in Stony Brook. Her story, "A Rush of Silence" was chosen for this distinction from a large field of excellent fiction submitted by creative writers from all over the US and Canada. This award is a particular honor for her since she competed against English and Journalism majors. Congratulations, Danielle!
