SEMAA kids from New Mexico schools talk to the astronauts in space!

The STS-135 Crew Speaks with Students Atlantis Pilot Doug Hurley and Mission Specialist Rex Walheim field questions from NASA Explorer School students as part of the “Summer of Innovation” during an in-flight educational event. It was the last opportunity for shuttle crew members to respond to students’ questions.

This clip is about 18 minutes in total. Students from all over the country ask questions of the Astronauts. At. 2:25 a Las Cruces student asks about space walks. Students with the large NASA symbol behind them are our SEMAA kids from Las Cruces and they ask about feeling heavy on return to earth (8:45), communicating with family and friends from space (9:25), and listening to music in space (15:25). At 12:37, there is a large group of SEMAA kids from Hatch, NM who ask about time differences in space.
