Processing of Required Background Clearance for Public School Access

                                           !!!!!!!!!!!!! ONE DAY ONLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. All students observing in classrooms or conducting a practicum in New
Mexico public schools is REQUIRED to undergo a criminal information
background check.

2. The Human Resources Office of Las Cruces Public Schools will have a
team on campus to process background checks and fingerprint
applicants ONLY on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 from
9:00 am - 3 pm O'Donnell Hall room 027, across from the new
Subway in the Service Learning Office.

3. Students must provide the following at the time of processing:
a. A picture ID (NMSU ID or driver's license)
b. A money order for $44.00 made out to the NM Department of
Public Safety (background check)
c. A separate processing fee in the amount of $7.00 cash or money
order made payable to Security Concepts at the time of processing
(fee for fingerprinting)

Students MUST complete this process during the above-listed date or they
WILL NOT be permitted to commence or continue their required field
experience/practicum/observations.

                          NO MAKE UP SESSIONS WILL BE SCHEDULED THIS SEMESTER!!!
