TRIO Talent Search participants have been selected as 2011 Daniels Scholars
Three NMSU Talent Search participants have been selected as 2011 Daniels Scholars:
Conrado Bobadilla, Santa Teresa High School
Mario Bujanda, Gadsden High School
Natalie Campos, Chaparral High School
Conrado, Mario, and Natalie will be the first in their families to attend college and they all plan to attend New Mexico State University in the fall. They were selected from over 2,000 applicants and more than 600 semi-finalists. After other financial aid resources have been applied, the Daniels Scholarship covers all required tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies and a variety of other miscellaneous expenses. They will also receive a laptop computer and a printer.
Dr. Barbara Couture was one of eight community leaders who participated in interviewing regional semi-finalists for this prestigious scholarship. The TRIO Talent Search staff should be congratulated for all their hard work throughout the selection process. Their input and guidance were vital to achieving a positive outcome for these deserving students.
