  • SPED 482/582 Student Teaching
    Supervised teaching in a special education classroom and participation in a required seminar.

  • EDLT 529 Managing Education Networks
    This course is for educators who plan to manage technology resources in schools focusing on:
    • operating systems, network definition, capabilities & management,
    • connections & transfer of files between different computer platforms,
    • managing & sharing peripheral devices
    • communication strategies in networking development.

    Conceptual Framework: This class will assist student integration of content knowledge and professional knowledge with practical experiences. It illicits a reflective and critical approach to solving classroom issues including assessment strategies and an understanding of the unique needs of each student. Additionally, it models methods and practices, best presented, created and delivered through methods of technology integration.
    Prerequisite EDUC 568 or consent of instructor.

  • EDUC 568 Educational Uses of Computers

    The purpose of these courses is to assist candidates (generally teachers in the public schools) to develop a vision of the role and impact of computers on the curriculum and pedagogical practices.
    These courses are also designed to begin the development of expertise in planning and implementing informed practices which facilitate the creation of technology infused learning activities based on models, theories, and research into effective educational practices.

  • EDLT 574.01 Technology Planning and Grant Writing
    Application of principles of curriculum development to the integration of technology to improve educational programs. How to develop technology plans, assess current uses of technology, write grants to acquire technology, improve the management of existing and future learning resources, and develop staff development strategies in technology.

  • EDLT 610 Technology, Society, and Education
    Investigates models of the change process, examines speculations related to the directions and dynamics of change in an era of electronic technologies, explores shifts in the cultural and personal activities and personal activities and relations of humans, speculates on concomitant educational implications.
