Minecraft Designers is open to ages 8 to 11. It runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 5-9 and costs $119. If you love this game but always wanted to design your own characters and buildings, this is the course for you. Learn the basics of creating 3-D modeling using a new industry grade software to design your very own characters and import them into your favorite Minecraft games. Students must own a PC/MAC version of Minecraft at home to import characters and parent email address is required to create student accounts. Tablet, phone and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible.
Robotic Arm Science is for ages 9 to 13, and registration for this course ends on May 23. Your dream of owning, building, commanding and taking home your own five-motor robotic arm will come true when you enroll for our Robotic Arm Science course. You will be able to command your gripper to open and close, move your robotic wrist, elbow, base and command vertical and horizontal reaching moves. Your robot will be equipped with 100 grams of lifting capacity. Additional features include a search light on the gripper for night operation. With your Robotic Arm you will have total command and visual manipulation using the five switch wired controller. Plus, have fun building a wide range of additional robotic designs with the robotic building system. The possibilities are endless when you build with science. The course is from 1 to 4 p.m. June 5-9 and costs $155.
Star Wars Animation is from ages 11 – 14. If making your own movies is what you dream of, then here is where you want to be. Using your own favorite Star Wars action figures, you can create a short film to share with family and friends or start a YouTube channel. Whether you want to recreate a scene from Star Wars or design a new world of your own, this class brings your dreams to the screen. Student-created films will be available on a password protected website to share. Students will need to bring in Star Wars action figures and/or vehicles from home. The class is from 1 to 4 p.m. June 5-9 and costs $119.
