COE Educational Research and Budgeting Office

Associate Dean for Research, Dr. Karin Wiburg, is the Director of the office as well as the Associate Dean of Research. Her primary role is to build grant-funding that supports the research and service functions of the college. She also manages the personnel in the office and provides oversight for the college budget.

Veronica Bulla, provides secretarial support to the office and to the director, supervises the work study students, maintains office equipment, orders and monitors supplies, processes purchase orders, e-hires, and all other paperwork related to the operation of the ERB and some sponsored projects that fall under the ERB, manages the Director's schedule, and provides a central point of contact for the ERB.

Mary Askew, (Master of Accountancy), reviews all financial transactions involving sponsored projects, as well as overseeing all non-I&G unrestricted funding including F&A and service funds. She works closely with Principal Investigators on all sponsored projects and prepares monthly status reports on their current budgets. She also assists project staff with financial management and guidance in appropriate policies and procedures related to accounting and sponsored projects. She works with Sponsored Projects Accounting, college department and project staff, and project P.I.s to finalize budgets and submit invoices to the agency.

Rosario Sessions (A.A. in Accounting), reviews all Instructional & General (I&G) and foundation/gift funds. This includes oversight of the personnel and financial activities of the administrative and instructional departments. She reconciles and reallocates administrative and centrally located I&G funds and annually prepares the College budget book from a compilation of information throughout the year. She provides monthly reports on all funds run out of the Deans' office, including three non-I&G unrestricted funds.

Ramiro provides support for the ERB staff in all requested duties.
