Those interested in making a donation towards a good cause, look no further...
Scott Pedersen, Ph.D., CAPE of the Department of Human Performance, Dance, and Recreation has established to special funds through the NMSU so financial gifts can help to create fun and challenging physical activity opportunities for New Mexicans with disabilities.
These funds allows Dr. Pedersen to purchase adapted physical education equipment for the NMSUAPE programs. These programs not only provide community members with disabilities more opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity, but they also serve as a training ground for the physical educators of the future.
With a little extra financial support Dr. Pedersen will be able to spread the word about Adapted Physical Education to all persons in the southwest United States. Please contact him to discuss how you can help.
We are also looking for individuals with special talents, such as mechanical engineering. The athletes in our programs can sometimes use a little extra help, in the name of assistive technology. If you enjoy building items like switches or catapaults please contact Dr. Pedersen.
