Below is a suggested sequence for PEP/SPM courses. Students can fill in the professional education courses not listed in places that are free.
Anywhere in Freshman or Sophomore Year students should take the following
- PEP 185: Foundations of Physical Education – 3 credits
- PEP 208: Fitness For Health And Sport – 3 credits
Sophomore Year
- SPM 271 & SPM 271L: Anatomy & Anatomy Lab – 4 credits
Junior Year Fall Semester
- PEP 342: Motor Learning – 3 credits
- SPM 308: Exercise Physiology (prerequisite SPM 271 & SPM 271L) – 4 credits
Junior Year Spring Semester
- PEP 341: Motor Development – 3 credits
- PEP 315: Elementary PE Methods - 3 credits
- PEP 455: Adapted PE – 3 credits
- RDG 414: Content Area Reading- 3 credits
Senior Year Fall Semester
- PEP 466: Secondary PE Methods (prerequisite 315) – 6 credits
- SPM 305: Biomechanics – 3 credits
Senior Year Spring Semester
- EDUC 471: Student Teaching – 9 credits
- EDUC 482: Student Teaching Seminar – 3 credits
