Programs of Study at CEP
The department of Counseling & Educational Psychology promotes education and human development across the life span by providing graduate training in direct provision of counseling and psychological services, research, and teaching.
The department offers the following degrees:
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Counseling Psychology - accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) following the 'scientist-practitioner model.'
- Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) in School Psychology - accredited by the National Association of School Psychologist (NASP) following the 'scientist-practitioner model.'
- Masters of Arts Degree (MA) - accredited in mental health counseling by the Council for Accrediting of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This Professional Counselor Program trains people to counsel in mental health and school settings.
