High School Dance Day

April 14th 2007 NMSU Dance Program will host a full day of dance classes and a performance by the DanceSport team.

The New Mexico State University Dance Program would like to invite you and your high school dance students to come to our campus for our HIGH SCHOOL DANCE DAY, Saturday, April 14, 2007.   Dancers

We will be offering a full day of dance classes for your students.   Classes will be held from 10am-3pm.   Classes will include ballet, modern, ballet folklorico, ballroom dancing, jazz, flamenco, hip-hop and tap.   All dance instructors are welcome to participate in the classes with their students or observe and take notes. Each class will be 50 minutes in length with a short break between classes.   The emphasis of the classes will be to teach short combinations/dances.

Each student attending will need to bring a healthy SACK LUNCH and bottle water will be sold by at .50¢ each.

During these classes we will be holding auditions for high school seniors who are interested in becoming a dance major or dance minor at NMSU.

The cost for the classes is $15 per student.   We extend this invitation because we want to meet our dance educators and our future dancers from New Mexico and the El Paso area.   We want to build a collaborative relationship with dance studios and schools that offer dance programming.

To register and secure space in classes, please fill out the enclosed registration form and mail it back to us at your earliest convenience, or call and reserve a space.
