Master of Arts - Minimum of 32 credits:
Course work may be taken in early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, teaching of English to speakers of other languages, bilingual education, curriculum development, instruction, learning technologies, advanced methodology, multicultural education and secondary teaching fields. Master of Arts with an Area of ConcentrationMinimum credits differ between programs. Please consult your area of interest in the Master's Handbook for specifics.

Licensure + Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction This program is designed for students holding a Bachelor's degree who wish to become licensed to teach in New Mexico while earning the Master of Arts degree.
Master of Arts in Teaching Thirty-two credits are required for completion of this degree program, with 17-18 credits chosen from an area of teaching content specialization (i.e., generally in the College of Arts and Sciences) and 14-15 credits in professional education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.Additional information can be found in the Master's Student Handbook (pdf 92KB) and Graduate School Catalogue.
