Dr. Baptiste is a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education, New Mexico State University. His areas of specialization include Multicultural science education, Multicultural education, pre K-12 science education, curriculum and leadership theory and social justice in science education.

Dr. Baptiste is internationally known in the world of multicultural education, specifically, science education. He has earned a M.A.T. in earth science (Indiana University), and his Ph.D. in K-12 science education. Throughout his career, Dr. Baptiste has been involved in K-12 education programs integrating earth science curriculum across the nation. Dr. Baptiste is committed to introducing his university students to technology and has actively integrated technology into the learning environments that he provides for his students. Dr. Baptiste is also the director of Math and Science Educators for the Future (MASEF), a NASA-sponsored grant. |
