Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Ivelisse Torres Fernandez is an Assistant Professor in the School Psychology Program at New Mexico State University. She received her doctoral degree in School Psychology in 2003 from The University of Iowa. She also served as the Chief Psychologist for Research and Training and co-director of the Pre-Doctoral Internship Program at Sarah A. Reed Children's Center in Erie, PA. Dr. Torres Fernandez has also worked as a bilingual school psychologist for the Erie City School District. Dr. Torres Fernandez's research interests include social and emotional development in children and adolescents, resiliency, Children and adolescent psychopathology, and multicultural issues. Her teaching interests include counseling, child & adolescent psychopathology, assessment, multicultural psychology, and professional issues in school psychology.
