Academic Excellence Awards & Doctoral Recognition Ceremony

The NMSU College of Education hosted its Academic Excellence Awards & Doctoral Recognition Ceremony Friday afternoon in Rentfrow Hall. Undergraduate and graduate students in the college were recognized during the ceremony, including Garrett Bush, who will be graduating with honors Saturday and receiving a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology; and Hailey Hightower, the college’s Outstanding Senior and Denise Briggs Award recipient. Hightower will be graduating with highest honors on Saturday and receiving her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

Master’s students Elizabeth Abrams, Daniela Caballero, Helen Duran and Katie Pacelli-Klinger were also recognized at today’s ceremony for graduate academic excellence. The college’s doctoral degree recipients in the fields of counseling psychology, curriculum and instruction, educational administration, and special education gave remarks at the ceremony.
